The Municipal Chief Executive of Winneba, Ghana recently accepted an invitation from Mayor Dave Norris of Charlottesville, Virginia to send an official delegation of citizens from Winneba to Charlottesville during the summer of 2010. Tentative travel dates are set for July 22- August 5. The timing for this visit was chosen to coincide with the African-American Cultural Arts Festival (July 31) & Taste of Ghana (July 29th) events and with our City Council meeting the first week of August. Stay tuned for updates on fundraising opportunities, events and ways to get involved.
