Big news! Corey Harris, the blues legend who hasn’t performed in Charlottesville since 2016, has agreed to headline a benefit concert at the Paramount Theater on Thurs., Dec. 2 for the Charlottesville-Winneba Foundation! Chihamba, the African dance troupe, will be opening. This event will also double as the release party for Corey’s new album, “Insurrection Blues,” AND his new book, “Bluespeople Illustrated: Legends of the Blues.” Very exciting!
Tickets are $25 each or $35 at the door. Ticket-buyers will have the ability to purchase additional tickets to be donated to young musicians from the Music Resource Center and to local families who may not otherwise be able to afford to attend.
The event will also feature a silent auction to raise additional funds for the Foundation's work in Winneba and for our Travel Scholarship Fund.
Please buy your tickets now and spread the word among your family, friends, co-workers, neighbors, etc!
