The Charlottesville-Winneba Foundation will be bringing another group of Charlottesville-area residents to visit our Sister City of Winneba, Ghana in May 2026 in conjunction with Winneba's biggest annual festival. These trips are eye-opening and life-changing. Cultural and historical immersion, good food, amazing people...we'd love to have you join us!
Approximate travel dates are April 26-May 7, 2026.
The fee to participate is $3,000 and that includes your airfare, all lodging, all meals, travel visa, travel health insurance, ground transportation, etc. (Thanks to the generosity of a few local donors, we have several $1,000 travel scholarships available to lower-income residents, bringing the travel cost down to $2,000 -- e-mail cvillewinneba@gmail.com for info. on scholarships.)
